For the second time this year, we visited St. Anne’s Home for the Elderly in New Zagreb and enjoyed a heartwarming time with its residents. Following the success of our previous pub quiz, this visit featured another quiz—this time with a twist.

We launched a new project called “Dance Away Your Aches”, combining music quizzes with a touch of dancing. Our goal is to bring joy to the residents of senior homes through song and dance, encouraging physical activity, boosting their vitality, and, of course, ensuring plenty of fun.

The quiz features diverse songs, ranging from timeless evergreens cherished by older generations to more recent popular hits.

Highlights from Our First Music Quiz

Experience has taught us that participants in senior home quizzes are always on time, actually fully ready a few minutes earlier: everyone took their places while canes and walkers were neatly tucked away in the hall's corners.

From the very first question, the familiar tune of “I’m Ready to Dance” by Novi Fosili had everyone humming along, instantly setting a lively tone and proving that they were more than ready for some fun. Twenty questions flew by in a joyful atmosphere. From classics like Ivo Robić to the energetic Linđo dance, the bravest took to their feet, while others tapped along in their seats. The highlight came with Mišo Kovač, as everyone raised their hands high.

The quiz concluded with prizes for the top performers, but no one left empty-handed. We parted with warm smiles and a promise to return soon.

We’ll be visiting our friends at St. Anne’s Home again. Meanwhile, the next stop for the “Dance Away Your Aches” project is the Trešnjevka Senior Home.
