The “Godparents” project connects godparents from Croatia with children from Tanzania who live in extremely bad conditions, come from big poor families or are simply orphans. Goodparents donate finantially for the education of a child, and in that way make sure that the child has a better future. It is possible to donate for children in kindergardens, elementary schools as well as high schools, but also students pursuing higher education and universities.

Since there are not enough educational institutions for children before school in Songea, we decided to build a nursery school in order to provide the education for the youngest whitch would make the transition to elementary school easier. Since nursery schools are not free in Tanzania, we decided to open the nursery school for other children in town as well. That way we would make the financing of the orphanage less dependant to donations.

St.Anthony's orphanage in Songea in Tanzania is an oasis of safety and love for the most vunerable, children without parents.Volunteers of Kolajna ljubavi with their selfless work are trying to secure the better future for every child in the orphanage. Although nothing can replace the love and warmth of a parents sections, the smiles of our wards are the most important sign that we are on a good route.

After more than 10 years of existence, our now well-known orphanage in Songea is full of holes. This is not the end of our mission, because apart from the fact that we continue to care for all the children and feed and clothe them every day, there are more children on the streets of Songee who need our help.
