Every organization has something to be proud of, and our greatest pride lies in our volunteers, without whom our work would remain almost invisible. They are the incredible links that illuminate and drive our numerous projects and activities.

Every year, on International Volunteer Day, which fittingly falls during the Advent season, we take the opportunity to express our gratitude to all our volunteers. This year, we hosted a small party and an awards ceremony for our volunteers, affectionately called "Kolajna's Links."

We are especially proud to recognize four outstanding links this year: Marta, Sara, Sandra, and Arijana! Thank you for your immense contribution, dedication, and love.

Of course, no volunteer party would be complete without a good deed! Together, we crafted Christmas ornaments, which we will sell during the holiday season to raise funds for the children cared for by Kolajna Ljubavi. In a relaxed and cheerful atmosphere, a few pinecones, golden ribbons, and glittery paper quickly turned into beautiful flying angels, ready to brighten someone’s Christmas tree.

We wrapped up the evening with a special surprise for our African volunteers – those who volunteered at our orphanage in Tanzania. It was a recorded survey conducted among the orphanage residents, where they answered fun questions such as: Which volunteer sings the best? Who loves eating ugali (African cornmeal porridge) the most? Who was the best at learning Swahili? Who was the worst at math? And who was the funniest?Our Association’s president was particularly proud to win in the strictest volunteer category!

Once again, thank you to all our volunteers who selflessly give their time and energy. You are the driving force behind Kolajna Ljubavi!
