Workshop on Responsible Food Practices

In collaboration with the Center for Education and Training Tuškanac, we organized a workshop at the Prekrižje Center to raise awareness among children about the importance of reducing food waste.

We discussed alarming statistics on how much food is wasted annually in Croatia and why it is crucial to avoid unnecessary waste and excessive shopping.

The residents of the home actively participated in preparing fruit smoothies using peeled fruit, while the leftovers were composted in the school garden. This hands-on activity demonstrated practical ways to reduce waste and care for the environment.

This workshop was a valuable opportunity for students to learn responsible food practices through practical experience and education, helping them develop lifelong habits of sustainability and mindful consumption.
