At the beginning of April, our volunteers visited the Peščenica Retirement Home, where we held our well-known music quiz "Dance and Relieve Your Back Pain”. We have been organizing this quiz at retirement homes around Zagreb, and each new visit reaffirms the same thing: the residents greet us with open arms and can't wait to sing, dance, and have a great time. This time was no different... at least in terms of the mood!

Technology, however, didn’t show us much mercy. This Lent seemed determined to test us. Nothing worked on the first try: we didn’t have the right adapter, the sound didn’t go through, the projector wasn’t cooperating… Our four volunteers, Ines, Arijana, Mirna, and Ana, gave their effort to overcome these obstacles while patient residents cheered them on with applause.

When the quiz finally started, the hall was filled with the sounds of Oliver Dragojević, Vice Vukov, and Doris Dragović. The audience sang along, passionately answering questions. The atmosphere was fantastic, and despite the technical issues, laughter was in abundance.

Because at the end of the day, it doesn’t matter whether the microphone works – it’s the magic of togetherness that happens among people.
