This year again, Kolajna ljubavi proudly joined the global movement of kindness – Good Deeds Day. A day dedicated to everything that brings us together: care, community, and the desire to make the world a better place. In 2025, it was marked on April 6th. Although it doesn’t fall on the same date yearly, Good Deeds Day is traditionally celebrated in spring, most often in March or April, when nature comes to life and invites us to come together outdoors and do good through volunteering.

Our volunteers spent the day outdoors with children from two small homes – working, creating, and learning from one another.

At the Prekrižje Children's Center, we organized a little eco-action. We cleaned up the area around the home, built birdhouses, and talked with the kids about the importance of helping others – how even the smallest good deed can brighten someone’s day. And those birdhouses? They're a sweet reminder that love and care have wings.

In the Vugrovec Children's Home, we rolled up our sleeves and got to work in their garden. We cleaned the surrounding area, also we made and painted recycling bins together. Because caring for the environment starts with small habits and big hearts.

Good Deeds Day isn’t just one day. Kindness doesn’t need a special date – it lives in every moment we choose to help someone, share a smile, or give our time.
