New Year's Eve in Our African Orphanage

They say that a picture speaks a thousand words, and we add that the African pastries in the photos you see speak of the great celebration at the New Year's Eve held in our orphanage in Africa. All thanks to the students from 1.B form of the Zagreb Hotel and Tourism School.

These high school students decided to gift their African peers and provide them with a New Year's party. Because no matter where they are from, teenagers are always the same and have similar wishes - to have fun and dance as much as possible. With the gifts collected from their pocket money, these future hotel and tourism workers made it possible for us to have a New Year's dinner at our orphanage.

Our teenagers who are in boarding high schools during the year, as well as those from the university, also came to the party. We also invited our friends and neighbours to celebrate with us.

The menu included chicken, boiled potatoes, and "mandazi", African pastries, favourite among the children in our orphanage.  At the end wafers and juice.

The party lasted all day, we prepared food, and after dinner, we danced and sang. The women from the church choir (in lilac dresses) especially raised the atmosphere with their performance.

A huge and dancing thank you to the 1.B students of the Zagreb Hotel and Tourism School.
